Treatment Programs for Children & Teens

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center, located in Springfield, Illinois, offers a number of mental health treatment programs and a full continuum of care for both children and adolescents.

Following an initial assessment and admission, an individualized treatment plan is devised for each patient. Treatment tracks for children and teens include:

Inpatient Services

Our inpatient care provides a secure, nurturing and comfortable setting for patients seeking acute care. Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center provides inpatient care for children and adolescent boys and girls, ages 3–17.

Inpatient mental health for children and teens takes place at our residential mental health facility for youth, and the extended stay allows us to work on long-term goals in a compassionate, structured environment that puts their recovery first.

Our inpatient teenage psychiatric services and inpatient children psychiatric services provide around-the-clock care. This program also takes into account who your loved one is and provides the needed tools, skills and education to help them take a step forward.

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center takes pride in being an LGBT-friendly rehab center and treatment facility. We offer a specialized adolescent inpatient treatment track for LGBTQ youth that takes into account who they are and how gender and sexuality can have an impact on adolescent mental health.

Outpatient Services

We offer adolescents and children’s outpatient therapy provided by Bachelors and Masters level professionals who will help your child with individual treatment plans to address any social, school, community and family issues.
