Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center, located in Springfield, Illinois, offers a number of mental health treatment programs and a full continuum of care for both children and adolescents.
Following an initial assessment and admission, an individualized treatment plan is devised for each patient. Treatment tracks for children and teens include:
Our inpatient care provides a secure, nurturing and comfortable setting for patients seeking acute care. Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center provides inpatient care for children and adolescent boys and girls, ages 3–17.
Inpatient mental health for children and teens takes place at our residential mental health facility for youth, and the extended stay allows us to work on long-term goals in a compassionate, structured environment that puts their recovery first.
Our inpatient teenage psychiatric services and inpatient children psychiatric services provide around-the-clock care. This program also takes into account who your loved one is and provides the needed tools, skills and education to help them take a step forward.
Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center takes pride in being an LGBT-friendly rehab center and treatment facility. We offer a specialized adolescent inpatient treatment track for LGBTQ youth that takes into account who they are and how gender and sexuality can have an impact on adolescent mental health.
We offer specialized inpatient treatment for adolescents who are seeking treatment for mental health and substance abuse disorders. Our MISA treatment, or co-occurring disorder treatment, focuses on both inpatient mental health for teens and any substance use issue they may have.
Just substance abuse treatment or just mental health treatment will not fix the overall problem, and a dual diagnosis unit provides substance abuse and mental health treatment together.
We offer intensive and structured treatment similar to the inpatient program, but with the ability to continue working on treatment in the family and community setting. Our PHP allows your loved one to attend child and teen outpatient therapies and treatment for a few hours a day throughout the week.
This is often a step-down program for those who no longer meet the criteria for our inpatient unit. The individual’s participation in the program usually lasts 10 to 15 days but varies according to the individual needs.
We offer an intensive outpatient program that provides children and adolescents with learning about anger management, conflict resolution, coping skills, wellness, time management skills, mindfulness and many other topics. The IOP staff provide age appropriate programming for patients with a variety of activities to help keep children and teens engaged.
We offer adolescents and children’s outpatient therapy provided by Bachelors and Masters level professionals who will help your child with individual treatment plans to address any social, school, community and family issues.
